There’s nothing wrong with directly naming competitors.
Especially when they’re the industry leader. And you’re the challenger with a radical new innovation.
Here’s a great example from Adam Robinson, the founder of Retention.com
Adam’s LinkedIn post specifically calls out 6Sense and Demandbase.
And explains 6 problems with their ABM technology.
He then serves up his new platform saying:
“I think there’s room for something new and wildly different”
I think his direct approach works because:
- He’s speaking directly to the people already investing in these platforms
- He positions his new solution as something you can use “alongside” them
- Instead of bashing the other vendors, he shows them respect
